側把圓竹壺 16X11X10cm "Round Bamboo (Side-Handle Teapot)" 『「泡茶」、「飲茶」自唐以來就被文人雅士視為一種專門技藝與學問,其中茶壺為主要的泡茶器具;一把好的茶壺,必須以實用為優先考量,如何在茶種中選出適用的壺,關係著土的選配,好的工法及不同窯種和燒窯溫度,這整個環節與土的密度結構環環相扣,是一門相當重要的因素。一把壺不單只以外型取勝,基本條件還是在於「拿、提、倒」;拿起壺試比重,提起壺觀看壺體工藝,試倒水流大小等細節皆須注重。如沖泡高山茶青則影響甚大,每一秒都足以影響茶湯香氣滋味,而壺嘴大小會影響出水時間,壺身形體也會影響茶葉的擴張速度,壺蓋大小則影響入茶及茶渣清潔的方便性。因此,綜觀以上所有條件,配合所沖泡茶葉之種類,將茶之特色發揮得淋漓盡致,則是作者對茶壺內涵的要求,巧製出一件實用美觀的飲茶器具且兼具工藝水平有鑑賞價值的藝術品。』 |

I want my forms to have a dynamic posture. I also want my work to reflect the inherent qualities of the clay; its ability to be cut, stretched, pulled, scraped, and gouged. Teapots are as much about an object occupying space as they are about delivering tea." 『對於陶土中獨特的質感、色彩和造型,如何與茶壺的形式之間所產生的平衡,是我思考的重點。在形式創作中,利用切削、延展、拉扯、刮下和挖出等陶藝中技巧,反映了陶土內在的張力,同時也可具有茶壺的功能性。』 |

33X28X18cm " A decorative object placed in an environment serves to embellish and enrich it, and to create a relationship and a complicity with the viewer . The attraction is towards the object/container , essentially pure : this eighteenth century style teapot is truly the“essence of tea”and of its symbolic meaning . With its purpose of evoking the fragrance of tea , it is set up as an object to provoke emotions and memories , as a catalyst of experience , which also serves to put the observer into a daydream. " 『在環境中放置一個裝飾的物件,創造出作品與觀眾之間的共鳴關係。而此物件/容器,以十八世紀風格的茶壺為藍圖,轉換成現代茶壺的物件語彙,純粹的表達出茶與茶壺之間的象徵意義。以此物件當成催化劑,其目的為挑起觀眾對於茶香的情感與記憶,創造出一個令人遐想空間。』 |
